Social media ads and Telegram groups target tourists in Thailand with offers of simple online work — liking videos, rating products, completing surveys — for 2,000-5,000 THB per day. To start, you must deposit money into the 'work platform' as a 'guarantee' or 'training fee' (typically 1,000-10,000 THB). Initial tasks may even pay out small amounts to build trust. Then you are asked to 'upgrade' or make larger deposits for 'higher-paying tasks.' When you try to withdraw your accumulated earnings, the platform demands additional deposits, taxes, or verification fees. The money is never returned. These scams often use sophisticated-looking apps and websites that track your 'earnings' in real time.
